Accessibility
The Pointer Overflow CTF is committed to providing an accessible, inclusive, and equitable experience for all participants. We recognize that our contest draws an international audience with a wide range of backgrounds, languages, and technical skill levels, and we make every reasonable effort to ensure that everyone can participate meaningfully.
All official contest materials—including challenge descriptions, rules, hints, announcements, and communications—are provided in English. While we understand that English may not be the first language of many participants, using a single primary language ensures that all contestants receive the same information at the same time and under the same conditions.
We strive to write challenges, hints, and instructions as clearly and concisely as possible. When clarification is requested, organizers will restate or rephrase information to promote understanding, especially for participants who may be new to cybersecurity or CTF conventions. However, organizers do not provide direct solutions or privileged guidance.
All participants receive the same hints, clarifications, and updates. Any private clarification that may affect gameplay will be reposted publicly to ensure fairness and accessibility across all brackets and time zones.
We work to ensure that our website, scoreboard, and challenge interfaces follow accessibility best practices, including readable text, high-contrast color palettes, descriptive alt text where appropriate, and compatibility with common assistive technologies.
If you have specific accessibility needs, concerns, or feedback, we encourage you to contact the organizers via the contest Discord or the official email. We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate accessibility requests within the scope and constraints of a competitive cybersecurity event.
